Time Stopped
One year ago we were getting our wedding pictures back. I still whole heartedly believe that was one of the best investments of the wedding. It was in high school when I remember I really began desiring to make photography a priority for my wedding. I started falling more and more in love with photography. I began to truly see the value and the reason why photography in general is so important and special to people. If you are like me, you will be willing to sacrifice and skimp on a few other things to make photography a priority at your wedding. We had a lot of DIY things to make room in the photography budget (plus I just love making things and putting your own touch on things). I made it known while Andrew and I were still just dating that I wanted good pictures of our wedding. I started saving up. Once we got engaged I started researching photographers and styles around the area, that were what I wanted, yet didn't break the bank. I found Victoria Kirk Photography through a mutual friend and am so glad I did! I love both our engagement and wedding photos so much! Fast forward to around this time a year ago, I remember getting an email saying your photos are ready! I was so excited to be able to relive one of the best days of my life through these photos! And seeing photos that captured moments that I didn't even know about that day! Or seeing photos of me cracking up at our cake cutting. Don't know who or what was said to make me laugh, but it just goes to show how much fun and laughter was had that day. Weddings, engagements, family photos, senior seasons, maternity pictures, whatever the event or milestone may be, photos will help you remember what life was like 1, 10, or 50 years ago. Looking back into a moment and remembering that time in your life will bring a smile to your face. Especially if it's of someone that is no longer here. *Life tip: put those babies on another backup and in a safe! One of my worst fears is losing all my photos, especially ones from special events like my wedding! And it also probably stems from when my computer crashed and I lost everything my junior year in college. 😬 These are just some examples of why photography is so dear to my heart. Stopped time, in the form of still images may not be a big deal to you. And if not, that's fine! Everyone's different! Everyone has different passions and priorities. But if any of this struck a chord with you, let me know and I would be so glad to come "stop time" for you and your family!
